subculture procedure - optimal population density 2.0-5.0x105 cells/ml

cryoconservation - RPMI 1640 40%, FBS 50%, glycerol 10%, 5.0-10.0106 cells/ml in ampule

Viability after cryoconservation: 77% (0 passage, dye trypan blue)

Sterility: tests for bacteria, fungi and mycoplasma were negative

Species: karyological and isoenzymological ( LDH, G6PD) analysis

Karyology: 2n=46, variability in the range between 41-51 chromosomes, modal number

of chromosomes 48, number of polyploid cells 14.0%

Contain and produce EBV

Applications: virology , the cells used for the indication of IgG and IgA,

specific against early antigen (EA) of EBV
