Conditions for cultivation: medium - RPMI 1640

serum - FBS 10%

subculture procedure - optimal population density 4.0-5.0๕105 cells/ml

cryoconservation - growth medium, 10% DMSO, 3.0-5.0x106 cells/ml in ampule

Viability after cryoconservation: 82% (0 passage, dye trypan blue)

Sterility: tests for bacteria, fungi and mycoplasma were negative

Species: karyological and isoenzymological (LDH, G6PD) analysis

Karyology: 2n= 46, variability in the range between 40-51 chromosomes,

modal number of chromosomes 48 (ATCC)

Plating efficiency: the cells cannot be plated (ATCC)

Other properties:

isoenzymes G6PD, B.

Erythrocyte rosette tests: E, 0; EA, 2%; EAC, 60%.

Each cell contains an average of 60 EBN genome copies.
